Ju-on Collection: Ju-on & Ju-on II (Blu-ray) RE RELEASE HALLOWEEN

Ju-on and Ju-on II (most notably Ju-on: The Grudge and its direct sequel Ju-on: The Grudge 2, or the original V-Cinema releases The Curse and The Curse 2) are pioneering Japanese supernatural horror films written and directed by Takashi Shimizu.

Ju-on (2002)

There is something unusually sinister about this old house. A curse and unspeakable evil hang over the rooms. When the housekeeper Nishina is called out to the house, she collapses after seeing a ghost. The police are called. It is learned that a long line of people have disappeared from the house over a number of years. It soon becomes clear that it all began when a man murdered his wife. Their son, who was six years old at the time, was never found.

Ju-on II (2003)

Film star Harase Kyoko is Japan's horror queen, but she's tired of being pigeonholed and is considering quitting her career. She's nevertheless persuaded to appear on Japan's answer to The Power of the Spirits, a program that explores unexplained events. This time, the target is a mysterious house where all the owners are dead. The filming in the house doesn't immediately yield any results, but a hairstylist senses horror and rushes away, only to meet her inevitable fate later that night - a fate that also overtakes the rest of the television crew. Pregnant Kyoko loses her boyfriend in a car accident and believes she's had a miscarriage, but a gynecologist assures her that the pregnancy is progressing as it should. But who - or what - is Kyoko pregnant with?
