Tales of Zestiria takes place in the fictional world of Greenwood that is divided into two empires that are at war. A strange impurity creates monsters throughout the lands, and is beginning to be a threat against humankind. Tales of Zestiria follows Slay, a human who lives in a secluded area that is governed by those known as Tenzoku; The Tenzoku are supernatural humanoids who can only communicate with humans that has sufficient spirit energy. The story begins when Slay searches a ruin and meets Alicia - From that point, nothing will stay the same.
