World first “green puzzles: NATPAX® grass board – new quality board exclusively developed for Schmidt Spiele®

Schmidt Spiele® is kicking off 2025 with another step forward in sustainability and the presentation of a world first: puzzles made from grassboard. This resource-saving and sustainable innovation was developed specifically for the Berlin-based games publisher and operates under the new NATPAX® brand . A unique combination of organically grown grass and recycled waste paper creates puzzle board that meets the highest standards, both in terms of environmental protection and the high-quality puzzles of Schmidt Spiele. This innovation will be presented for the first time at the Nuremberg Toy Fair® .

The 1.9-millimeter-thick puzzle board under the NATPAX® brand from Schmidt Spiele is made from approximately 40 percent grass and 60 percent recycled paper, a resource-saving and sustainable alternative. The distinctive green puzzle board underscores the green spirit of this world-first, which meets the EN-71 Part 3 "Toy Safety" standard.
