Mussolini: The Untold Story:
In 1922, politician Benito Mussolini is the leader of the Fascist Party in Italy. He is determined to come to power and, by any means necessary, restore his homeland to the great power it once was.
With the support of former military personnel who, after World War I, formed autonomous militias, the party leader and his followers spread terror among both the Italian population and the populations of the countries that Mussolini is trying to conquer. Opponents of the party risk losing their lives by expressing the slightest criticism of Il Duce, a nickname he gives himself as a symbol of his supreme leadership, and which his sympathizer, Adolf Hitler, later translates into his own, Der Führer. When World War II breaks out, Mussolini involves Italy, leading to the end of the dictator's bloody reign and the country's ultimate downfall.

The 7-hour mini-series is based on the memoirs of Mussolini's own son Vittorio.
