Kung-Fu Classics: Volume 2 (4-disc) RE RELEASE

Following the yearning years of the 70's, where the Hong Kong martial arts cinema of the modern day was taking form, a new decade was to come. Come 1980, the seeds planted in the years prior were in full bloom, and the kung fu action made its full-blown boom. It was here that the West turned its attention to the East. Through films such as The Magnificent Butcher, Dreadnaught, The Prodigal Son and Duel to the Death – all featured in this box set – kung fu cinema made its way to young hearts all over the world.

The Magnificent Butcher (1979), in which a young butcher becomes involved in a conflict with a rival shaolin temple. 

Dreadnaught (1981), about a violent criminal who tries unsuccessfully to kill a coward. 

The Prodigal Son (1981), about a rich man's son who doesn't know that his father pays all his opponents to lose. 

Duel to the Death (1983), where the best swordsmen from China and Japan clash
